Ironwoods Park is located in south Leawood at 147th St. and Mission Road. Some of the features at Ironwoods include: a playground, 1-acre lake, 2 miles of trails, playing fields, the Prairie Oak Nature Center, the historical Oxford Schoolhouse, and the Alpine Towers Challenge Course. Ironwoods also has overnight lodge and cabin rentals available.
City Park has an all-inclusive playground, lighted tennis courts, baseball fields, basketball courts sand volleyball courts, soccer fields, jogging trail that leads to the both the Tomahawk Trail and Indian Creek Greenwood Trail. City Park is also the location of the Leawood Aquatic Center.
Just east of City Park is the Leawoof Dog Park. Leawoof dog park has two fenced in areas, water fountains for dogs, benches and trees for shade.
Ironhorse Golf Club is an upscale public golf course located just south of 151st and Mission Road.
The Country Club of Leawood and Hallbrook Country Club also have golf courses in Leawood.
The Ice is Leawood’s outdoor ice skating rink. It’s located within Park Place at 11565 Ash St and is open from October 30 – February 28.
